Is there any explanation needed? Right then, Jar Jar Binks - bane of the Star Wars community at large and public enemy #1. In trying to determine the logic behind both the creation and inclusion of this character, the result ends up being one of total confusion. Its akin to someone letting a good friend go out in clothes that are too tight, too revealing or just plain God awful someone, anyone, should have told George Lucas that this wasnt a good idea. Binks literally had no redeeming qualities. He wasnt funny, as he was intended to be. He was a complete mess in terms of his actual contribution to the plot. He was consistently stepping in Poodoo (literally and figuratively). And, of course, there was that whole granting Palpatine emergency powers thing. How the hell did such an inept individual earn the respect and responsibility to be allowed to represent Naboo in the Senate? Honestly, there was no one that could have done it instead? A hand-maid? A junior aide? A broom? Having Jar Jar freakin Binks play such an integral part in the machinations that lead to Palpatine gaining ultimate control was both lazy and ridiculous. Which characters should have been on the list? And which ones got it too hard? Discuss all things bad about Star Wars characters down in the comments.
A self professed Stephen King/Star Wars geek and pop culture neophyte, Scott tends to spend much of his time alone pondering life's greatest mysteries.....he also depends heavily on his son Liam, a great sounding board, to set him straight on Star Wars issues and gives him advice on what EXACTLY he's doing wrong.
