10 Worst Superhero Movies According To Rotten Tomatoes

5. Catwoman

Supergirl Helen Slater
Warner Bros.

Female-led superhero movies really didn't receive much love before the likes of Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel came along, and the blame can mainly be attributed to studio bosses having a clear lack of understanding about what makes these characters tick.

Also boasting a rotten 9% score, "Halle Berry is the lone bright spot, but even she can't save this laughable action thriller." Honestly, it seems a little too kind to even call that actress a highlight, but she certainly did her best with the material that was on offer.

This 2004 movie put the spotlight on Patience Phillips instead of Selina Kyle, but borrowed (stole?) the idea from Batman Returns that she would be betrayed, killed, and then brought back to life with powers that bordered on being supernatural. It was every bit as dumb as it sounds, and it's no wonder Catwoman dominated the Razzies shortly after it was released.

Christopher Nolan rebooted the character in The Dark Knight Returns, but most fans are relying on Matt Reeves' The Batman for a much-improved take on Catwoman.
