In the last decade, the landscape of cinema has been radically altered. The internet has caused everything related to film to become incredibly exaggerated, from announcement to promotion to fan interaction.
Navigating film is now a total minefield, a place where you're just never too far away from devastating plot spoilers, surreptitious set leaks or someone who just wants to tell you that your favourite film sucks.
That's not to mention the state of the industry itself, an industry that fears you might stop coming to the cinema and will stop at nothing in its attempts to draw you in, even when those techniques are frustrating as all hell.

10. So Much Is Leaked Before A Film Hits The Cinema...
One of the great joys of cinema is experiencing an engaging narrative play out on-screen. You often hear people saying things like "the less you know about the film before you go in, the better".
These days, however, with cameras in smartphones and innumerable minuscule ways of capturing data, set and script leaks are extremely rife. It's almost impossible to police the creation of a film - a process which commonly involves thousands of different people - so intensely as to avoid the leaking of information.
Which is a shame, really. The vast majority of massive blockbusters like Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and franchises like Fantastic Beasts see leaked set pictures or scripts. Even when trying to avoid these details, it's easy to accidentally come across them while browsing comments sections or social media sites.
