7. Wild Wild West

Poor Wild Wild West; this jumbled mess of a Western was one of the early cinematic projects for Will Smith. While his star power pushed the film to box office success, its overall quality is decidedly poor. It all comes down to the production's insanely misguided ideas that don't fit the setting at all.

Wild Wild West aims to be a more exaggerated action-focused affair; Will Smith and Kevin Kline play two US Marshalls investigating the disappearance of America's key scientists. What follows is a clumsy and altogether unfunny set of escapades all building up to a battle on-board a metallic spider base.

Yes, you read that right; a giant mechanical arachnid stomping its way through the desert in the aftermath of the American Civil War. The sheer ridiculousness of Barry Sonnefeld's production dooms it from the offset. In short, the title is far more focused on its laughable special effects than telling a worthwhile story.

While some may consider it a guilty pleasure, it's a massive dud; a shallow blockbuster that quickly slipped out of the minds of most who watched it. As both a comedy and action film, Wild Wild West has very little to offer. It went on to scoop a ton of Razzie nominations, winning five in total.
