If you ask anybody on the planet what they thought of Hotel Transylvania, they'll probably say: "Uh, it was all right," which apparently translates as "Make another one, please" if you happen to be a bigshot Hollywood executive. Basically, then, Hotel Transylvania was about as "mild-mannered" and "child-friendly" as animated movies get. Which is a shame, really, because you can sort of see how it might've been a whole lot better. Could Hotel Transylvania 2 end up being the movie that Hotel Transylvania the first wasn't? What do you think? What's strange is that the first movie was directed by the genius that is Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of awesome shows like Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack, which were equally accessible for both adults and children alike. He's back to helm the sequel, too, but are we really that bothered? Couldn't he spend his time on better, cooler things?
