6. Chuck Austen's X-Men

Chuck Austen is, without a doubt, the worst writer ever to work on X-Men. In fact, since his universally reviled run on the main title, he's barely worked on any comic books. At all. At least, none that were published. Having thumbed through his stuff, it's unsurprising he started in porno comics. This is like Carry On Mutants or something. Everybody's knocking boots. Angel does it with the skin-tearing mutant Husk in mid-air, above her parents' house. With them watching. Juggernaut hooks up with She-Hulk for some reason. Nightcrawler's Catholic faith is tested by mutant sex worker Stacy X. It's not the sexy stuff that makes them bad necessarily €“ Austen's poor plotting and characterisation ensured that €“ but the fact that his run hinges so much on bed-hopping sexy stuff, and the X-Men films so far have been decidedly PG-13, mean this one's unlikely to get adapted. Although, maybe whilst 50 Shades Of Grey is still big...
