73. Mrs. Iselin - The Manchurian Candidate
Played By: Angela Lansbury Before playing all nice and sweet in Murder, She Wrote, Angela Lansbury was scarily brilliant as a Soviet spy in John Frankenheimer's political thriller classic. The woman is domineering and cold, using her own brainwashed son to her political advantage. She doesn't love her son and she doesn't love her husband, but she loves the idea of power and will manipulate anyone for her own villainous needs.
72. The Joker - The Dark Knight
Played By: Heath Ledger The Joker is Batman's most deadly nemesis and the greatest incarnation of that nemesis is Heath Ledger's version in Christopher Nolan's 2008 movie, The Dark Knight. Ledger's Joker seeks no personal gain in wealth or fame, he just, in the words of a wise man, wants to see the world burn. Jack will always be Jack and nobody is better than Jack but Heath Ledger's Joker has the better characterisation and his venom and terrifying cruelness are perfect for modern contemporary cinema.
71. Norman Stanafield - Leon: The Professional
Played By: Gary Oldman Stansfield is another unpredictable cop who plays beyond the law, dealing frequently in drugs and murder. Gary Oldman plays the character to wonderfully hysterical levels and he is the perfect contrast to Jean Reno's straight titular character. His physical appearance always looks dishevelled as his hair remains unkept and he often looks like an unshaven mess. Stansfield can be classed in the category of charismatic villains however with his quotable dialogue, love of Beethoven and enigmatic manner. Stansfield is fully unhinged however, being crazily histrionic and a full on psychopath that is impossible to forget.
