Rob Lowe was poised to become the biggest star out of the brat pack thanks to About Last Night and St. Elmos Fire - but that was undone when a sex tape featuring him and a teenage girl leaked out. Lowes chances of becoming a leading man quickly dried up, and he spent over a decade in supporting roles and straight to video movies. His acclaimed role in The West Wing brought him back to peoples attention, and he earned Emmy and Golden Globe nods for his work. He fell out with the network producing the show over how his character was being developed; and shocked everyone by quitting in 2003.
