Neil Hamilton, who took on his first film role all the way back in 1918's The Beloved Impostor, began his career as a magazine shirt model, and acted all the through to the 1970s. Of course, in the 60s, he signed on for the Adam West Batman series, where he portrayed Commissioner Gordon. Throughout his career, Hamilton appeared in a multitude of projects, including a couple of Fu Manchu movies, a couple of Tarzan films, a movie involving the crime fighter known as The Saint (upon which several movies and TV series have been based), and Brewster's Millions. He is, however, best known for the role of Gordon on Batman. Hamilton passed away after an asthma attack at the age of 85 in 1984.
