Rather sadly, Mary Lambert's 1989 adaptation of Stephen King's classic Pet Sematary is not as fondly remembered as some of the other big screen versions of the horror master's stories. It's definitely better than the rest of Lambert's work (which includes the delightfully terrible Mega Python Vs Gatoroid), and it has some legitimately good moments.

Like the bit where young Gage saws through Gwynne's achilles tendon, sending every toe owned by the collective audience into horrific spasm.

But that was just made-up pain. The film actually included some real-life pain that was somehow left in when Dale Midkiff, the actor behind Louis Creed had a nightmare, rolled off his bed and legitimately stotted his head off the bedside cabinet. The look of surprise on his face is glorious (if a little embarrassing), but the fact that he just carries on with the scene is rather impressive.
