5. Danielle Is The Killer - Happy Death Day 2U

The first trailer for the sequel to last year's low-budget horror hit Happy Death Day landed just recently, but it's predated by a theory that the series has been hiding an additional killer in plain sight the entire time.

The theory states that Tree's (Jessica Rothe) ditzy pal Danielle (Rachel Matthews) is a secret second killer, with a series of circumstantial supporting evidence.

The clues include Danielle briefly having possession of the ominous birthday card sent to Tree (which was never explained), her texting Tree "I hope you both die!", her wearing similar white-trim shoes to the killer, and the animated end credits showing the killer dead, with actress Rachel Matthews' name beneath that of Ruby Modine (who played the killer, Lori), perhaps suggesting that Danielle is literally behind Lori's killings.

Considering that director Christopher Landon has already stated that the plot for the sequel was "hiding in plain sight" in the first movie, could these clues be an extremely clever feat of foreshadowing?
