11 Changes The MCU Wishes It Could Make

2. Maybe Don't Kill All The Villains

It makes no sense when villains die at the end of this superhero extravaganzas. The same sense of justice and closure can be given to our protagonists just as much by sticking a colourful bad guy in jail as much as having them die. It also removes any semblance of a black stain on our heroes' souls, knowing that they didn't kill a criminal, accidental or no. Additionally, it leaves the option of having the bad guy come back for future instalments. Loki arguably had his popularity boosted because they were able to expand on his character in The Avengers - and it's telling that a lot of fan-favourite Loki moments actually came from Tom Hiddleston's second appearance as the character in that film. The common critique levelled at Marvel is that their bad guys are fairly one-note or underwritten; if that's the case, then they could have expanded upon these villainous characters with a second stab later on, like with the aforementioned Loki. But they can't, because most of the bad guys are dead. Plus, keeping all their bad guys around means they could've made a sweet Thunderbolts movie by now; that's something Feige has to be smarting at, considering all the love Suicide Squad is getting already.
