11 Characters Absent In Avengers: Infinity War And Endgame Who Were Missed

Lady Sif hasn't been seen in the MCU since 2015's "Who You Really Are," the twelfth episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s second season, which saw Sif returning to Earth in pursuit of a Kree warrior. And though she returned to Asgard at episode's end, she sat out the events of Thor: Ragnarok, with no explanation as to her whereabouts.

In reality, Sif's ongoing absence can be owed to the fact that actress Jaimie Alexander has commitments to her own television show, Blindspot, which kicked off near the end of 2015, though that hasn't made Sif's inexplicable disappearance any less noticeable. After the events of Infinity War, the Russos confirmed that she was one of the many who were lost as part of the Decimation.

Of course, if ever there was a perfect moment for her return, it would've been during the final battle of Endgame, with the Asgardian warrior joining in to help fight Thanos. If even for a brief moment, seeing Sif again - and knowing that she could be a part of New Asgard going forward - would've given some amount of closure to a character who has been around since Phase 1 and is Thor's oldest surviving friend.
