11 Characters Absent In Avengers: Infinity War And Endgame Who Were Missed

Let's get something out in the open: As fun as it would've been to see the final battle include Daredevil kicking ass, the Punisher dropping Outriders with machine guns, Old Lace zipping around the battlefield, or even Cloak and Dagger doing their thing, trying to include all the TV characters would've been too complicated, either due to off-screen issues (like what's happened with the Netflix shows) or the simple fact that all the ongoing shows are still years removed from the events of Endgame.

For instance, season five of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended during the events of Infinity War, and season six looks to be taking place a year later, putting it four years out from Endgame. By putting characters in Endgame, it forces the writers of any given show (whether it's AoS or Runaways and so on) to have to work towards that appearance, which may tie their hands in terms of storytelling and stakes.

Despite that, however, if there's one character whose future feels "safe" and wouldn't be hindered in the long term by having appeared in Endgame, it's Daisy "Quake" Johnson, who could've turned up to help in the final conflict - and become the second character in one movie to jump from TV to the films - and demonstrated her powers on a mega film budget.

Aside from giving fans something to be excited about as the end point for how her powers will grow over the next two seasons, it would've also further cemented Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s status in the MCU, as we've spent more screentime by a wide margin with its characters, including Quake, than any of the film characters.
