11 Characters Absent In Avengers: Infinity War And Endgame Who Were Missed
From Nova Corps members to an ex-con to a powerful Inhuman, who would've fit right in?
There's no doubt about it: The dual story of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame has proven to be a monumental success, bringing an end to the first era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a close while uniting dozens of characters on screen - many together for the first time - in a way that has been immensely satisfying for fans all over the world.
Whether it's through the fact that many characters' worlds collided with one another in Infinity War or through the time-traveling of Endgame, both films featured the return of many familiar faces from throughout the franchise's historic run in fun ways.
Dead characters like Frigga, Alexander Pierce, Howard Stark, and Brock Rumlow were seen again, characters like Howard the Duck and Kraglin featured in the epic final battle with Thanos (so long as you know where to spot them), and - for the first time - a TV character made the jump to the films through the appearance of Edwin Jarvis.
The two films did an excellent job honoring the franchise's legacy to date, but there were a few characters left out that could've been great, natural fits for either movie.
10. The Other
The Other may not be the first character to jump to mind when thinking about faces from the past who could've turned up in these movies, but he's one of the most logical inclusions and surprising exclusions nonetheless. After debuting in The Avengers, he made a further appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy that ended with Ronan killing him.
In the two films, we never really got to know him, but as the personal servant of Thanos, he was an important figure, ensuring that Loki stayed on track for fear of consequence. With Endgame taking us back to 2014 and the events of Guardians of the Galaxy, right before Ronan would've killed him, it would've been great to see him by Thanos' side at some point.
Whether waiting at Thanos' beck and call during the investigation into what was going on with Nebula's network or a moment where we see him on the Sanctuary II when Captain Marvel destroyed it, having The Other appear - even briefly - would've served as another fun connection to those two films without feeling extraneous simply because it lines up with exactly what we do know about the character and his role in Thanos' life.
