11 Characters Absent In Avengers: Infinity War And Endgame Who Were Missed
9. Erik Selvig
After making his debut in 2011's Thor, Erik Selvig became somewhat of an MCU staple over the next few years, returning for The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. By the end of the latter film, he - along with many others - was seen working at the New Avengers facility, working to help our heroes protect the world.
Unfortunately, he hasn't been seen since, as many of those employees and recruits of the facility have seemingly vanished since being established in Age of Ultron. In Endgame, when the team is reviewing a list of people who disappeared in the Decimation, Selvig could be seen among the lost.
Considering the fact that he's been a recurring figure through the franchise, it would've been nice to see him somewhere in the flesh in either film, if even for a cameo. Had he not been snapped, he could've helped the team with their time travel, or even simply been living at New Asgard.
At the least, since he was a casualty of the Decimation, he could've even been present at Tony Stark's funeral, for instance, giving this character with ties to the Avengers' legacy a moment to have that role acknowledged.
