11 Deaths In Kids' Movies That Made You Want To Cry Like A Little Girl

11. Beth - Little Women

Arguably not a kids' film, but most people will have watched the 1994 incarnation either as a child or with a child. Based on the revered novel of the same name, Little Women follows the tumultuous journey of four sisters from youth to womanhood. Pretty standard, right? A bunch of sisters and their troubles in the late 1800s? It€™s a tried and tested story, and you could even argue it holds similarities to something like Honey Boo Boo. Except Honey Boo Boo probably won€™t take your feelings and tear them up in front of you before stamping them into a fine dust (unless you start having existential despair for humanity because of it, which is entirely likely). Each of the sisters are pretty unique and grow into rounded and complex characters that you become surprisingly attached to. The plight of Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy is a compelling one, and you can end up really finding yourself incredibly anxious at the slightest peril. And then Beth goes and dies. Whether it€™s the fact that she was had already recovered from scarlet fever, or that she was the sweetest and most gentle of the sisters, Beth€™s death is truly devastating. There€™s nothing like being out of the woods, for the woods to then swoop down and kill you anyway. Her realisation of her impending doom came with a determination to not waste her last days, which she spent making things for her sisters. This quiet acceptance of her own mortality is both admirable and intensely painful for both the viewer and her family.

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
