11 Facts We Already Know About The New Justice League Movie

4. The Flash, Aquaman & Shazam Solo Movies Will Release Between The Two Parts

Warner Bros. will be making the most of the 19 month gap between Justice League movies by releasing solo films for The Flash, Aquaman and also Shazam. The Flash releases just four months after Justice League Part One, hitting cinemas in March 2018, and is being written by The Lego Movie's Phil Lord and Chris Miller, while Aquaman lands in July of that year with James Wan (Furious 7) directing, and Shazam shows up in April 2019, two months before Justice League Part Two. It makes sense to see Warner bolstering the characters and properties they're so invested in, but it remains to be seen whether or not audiences will simply be interested in standalone films for these characters. It all depends on how they come across in Batman v Superman and Justice League Part One (in the cases of Aquaman and The Flash, anyway), and further suggests that Part One and Part Two will likely be separate stories if two of the seven heroes splinter off to deal with their own business (assuming they aren't prequels, of course). As for Shazam, it's still unclear how he will tie into the DCEU: he hasn't been cast yet (though Dwayne Johnson has been confirmed to play the villainous Black Adam), and executive producer Toby Emmerich has stated that the film will be different tonally to other DC movies, employing more liberal use of humour.
