11 Great F*ck You Performances From Hated Actors

2. Hayden Christensen – Shattered Glass

Although Hayden Christensen had been working steadily since the tender age of 12, the role that really put him on the map was his performance as Anakin Skywalker in George Lucas’s Star Wars prequel trilogy, but for all the wrong reasons. Branded a terrible actor – though Laurence Olivier himself would’ve had trouble bringing the trilogy’s bad scriptwriting to life – Christensen’s turn as Anakin saw the character become one of the most hated in the Star Wars franchise, second only to Jar Jar Binks.

But sandwiched in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, Christensen gave an excellent performance in the 2003 biopic Shattered Glass as disgraced journalist Stephen Glass fired from his job at The New Republic after fabricating several stories.

Holding his own alongside heavyweights like Peter Sarsgaard and Hank Azaria, Christensen proved that with the right role, script and direction he can indeed act.
