As ludicrously popular as the Bourne movies are, Logan managed to impressively and surprisingly outgross them all. Well, it pulling in more than double the naff Jeremy Renner-starring one perhaps isn't that unexpected, but given the visibility of the Bourne brand and Matt Damon's eminent appeal, not to mention the PG-13 rating, few would've been shocked if Logan fell somewhat short of at least Ultimatum and last year's Jason Bourne.

Thanks largely to Logan's insanely smart, emotional marketing campaign, audiences were compelled to turn out for Hugh Jackman's final turn as the title character.
