9. Moon Knight
Moon Knight is a unique and risky character for Marvel to take on. His stories tend to veer towards brutal violence and always have a dark edge to them.
With a Disney+ series currently filming and due to release next year, the series will see Oscar Isaac become Marc Spector, aka Moon Knight. Ethan Hawke is set to play the so-far unnamed villain, who has been speculated to be Sun King.
Marc Spector is a mercenary who gets into trouble in Egypt and is revived by Khonshu, the Egyptian moon god. Upon his resurrection, Spector develops dissociative identity disorder, which leads to him presenting as multiple different characters depending on the situation. These alter egos are a result of Khonshu's mystical connection to Spector and are based on different aspects of the god's personality.
Aside from this, Spector shows no supernatural abilities except for the odd visions. Instead, he relies on his extreme combat skills, his strength and his skill with technology. In other words, he's pretty much human.
With such a strange and intriguing story, Moon Knight promises to have some super spooky moments with ancient Egyptian iconography and lots of intense fight scenes. It's definitely one to get excited for.
