11 Marvel Cinematic Universe Films That Should Appear Beyond Phase 3

6. Blade

1998's Blade movie, the first in a very successful trilogy starring Wesley Snipes, was arguably the dawn of the current era of comic book movies and the pioneer of the current success they are experiencing. The last movie in the trilogy - 2004's Blade: Trinity - was ten years ago now (can you believe that??) and Wesley Snipes is too old to reprise the role, but a reboot has long-been discussed and bringing the popular character in to the Marvel cinematic universe with a more current and younger actor would surely be a shrewd move. The Marvel cinematic universe has Earth-based heroes, big green monsters, men in tech-based suits, gods, aliens and magic... so why not vampires? The idea of there being a supernatural superhero team in the Marvel cinematic universe really appeals to me. DC are looking to make a Justice League Dark movie - with the likes of John Constantine, Zatanna, Madame Xanadu and Frankenstein coming together to fight supernatural threats - so seeing the likes of Blade and Doctor Strange coming together to fight dark entities could potentially be awesome. Of course, that's getting a bit ahead of ourselves and just getting Blade back on the big screen should be a priority beyond phase 3.
