This movie was rumoured for years and, up until quite recently, it literally was nothing but a rumour but then we saw that there was actually some test footage produced and realised that it was actually extremely close to happening. Ryan Reynolds - who, of course, portrayed Wade Wilson and the hideous adaptation of Deadpool in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie - was set to take on the role of a more familiar portrayal of the character in a titular Deadpool movie. It was to be directed by Tim Miller and produced by Fox and the script for the movie, which was written by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, leaked online back in 2010 and was generally well received by fans. We're still waiting for this movie and most fans would welcome it with open arms. However, after seeing Reynolds in the test footage, it would be very hard to accept anyone else in the role.
