11 Memorable Movie Characters Under 5 Foot

2. Ted (Ted)

Mark-Wahlberg-Ted-movie-image In 1985, John Bennett - a lonely 8 year old boy living in Boston who finds it tough making friends - receives a teddy bear from his parents as a Christmas gift. Naming him Teddy, or "Ted" for short, John wishes for Ted to come to life on Christmas night. While he sleeps, a shooting star passes by and, as a result, John's wish is granted and he wakes up on Boxing Day morning to find that Ted can now walk and talk. As John and Ted become best friends for real, Ted quickly becomes a worldwide celebrity. Of course, Ted doesn't continue being a polite, cute little bear. He matures (sort of) in to an adult and, while he remains the same size, he enjoys the same things most men enjoy - booze, girls, junk food and watching sport. The novelty of his celebrity soon wears thin on the public, however, and he is essentially just looked upon like everyone else. He continues to live with John until John's girlfriend insists he moves out and the movie follows him making his own way in life which, after several trials and tribulations, he does exactly that - even bagging himself a job and a girlfriend. He's the most awesome teddy bear ever.
