11 Most Compelling Pieces Of Evidence That Batman Triumphant Would Have Been Great

Though Batman & Robin and Spider-Man 3 both definitely suffered for splitting focus between two many villains and not developing them enough, there remains a lot of value in the idea of a rogue's gallery movie. Triumphant would have turned the villainy up to 11, not only introducing new figures in the shape of Nic Cage's Scarecrow and Harley Quinn, the planned climactic sequence (in which Batman would wrestle internally with Crane's toxin, just as he does in Arkham Knight) would have brought back a who's who of villains.

According to THR, the studio wanted to bring back Danny DeVito (The Penguin), Michelle Pfeiffer (Catwoman), Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face) and Jim Carrey (The Riddler) for cameos. Imagine that glorious, nightmarish sequence for a minute.

Thankfully, nobody who brings up details of the canned project ever seems to mention bringing back Arnold Schwarzenegger or Uma Thurman. Presumably because they're not that stupid.

The idea of Batman as an island has bred some of the most compelling moments in Batman movie (and other media) history, and stripping away the Bat-family for a more personal battle could (and should) have been another of them).
