11 Most Disappointing Post-Credits Scenes Ever

8. The (Sort Of) False Gauntlet - Age Of Ultron

Age of Ultron's post credit scene may have been the most anticipated one ever. After Avengers, fans were ready and raring to go - everyone thought Thanos was going to be the next main villain, and after Ultron was announced, everyone still thought Thanos was going to be the next main villain.

After sitting through an entire film that felt like someone peeing on you, and sitting through endless credits, there was a final tease of Thanos walking up to a Gauntlet, grabbing it, and saying, "Fine, I'll do it myself."

That scene was basically a sign saying, "Yes, we know you still want Thanos, he'll be here eventually, geez." Worse, it's non-canon. That scene was set back in 2015, before he conquered Nidavellir, and thus before his gauntlet was even created.

After that he did nothing for almost four more years. Everyone kept looking for Thanos hints in every MCU film after, and still he was nowhere to be seen, until Infinity War.
