11 Most Untouchable Teams In Movie History
4. The X-Men
The X-men franchise stands as a legendary team up in the Marvel universe, not only because they tackle the most potent minority subtext ever seen in a superhero movie franchise, but also because they possess the X gene, a gene that gives them superpowers and unique capabilities using fire, ice and teleportation etc to fight human prejudice, Malcolm X-Man style.
Wolverine's absurdly sharp adamantium-coated claws are probably the most salient piece of mutant weaponry from the uncanny misfits but lest we forget Stewart's kindly, benign and hyper-intelligent Professor X - a character so powerful that each X-Men film found an excuse to prematurely take him out of the action.
Erik Lehnsherr or Magneto as he’s called isn’t too far off the charts either, as he has the ability to manipulate metals of all kinds, generate electromagnetic force fields and even levitate, provided there's a metallic background in reach of his powers.
The team’s supreme alliance is evident in the finale of the film, X2, featuring Jean Grey as she dangles Logan in mid-air while Storm whips up a wind to lift him towards Magneto, and then Cyclops zaps the mutant baddie from a distance as Wolverine slices his machine to pieces. Now that's teamwork!
