11 Movie Posters That Really Know How To Sell A Film

9. Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1 (and 2)

Harry Potter Okay, so by the time we rolled onto the final two parts of the final Harry Potter epic story, the Deathly Hallows, no one needed convincing to go and see how this film franchise of the beloved children's books was going to play out. If you were a fan (and there was one or two...many millions) then you were waiting for this with eager anticipation. And to be honest, the previous entry, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was grim, depressing and a little dull so there was a lot of hope that it would go out with a bang. This teaser poster for the finale builds on that anticipation and shows that all bets are off. What better way than to show the one safe haven in the entire franchise, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, in flames? Even with the deaths that have come before, this image shows that everyone is in peril. Every student, every teacher...suddenly there is the real possibility that anyone could die. With the franchise ending readers of the books must have seen this poster and realised that they were going to get that final battle for Hogwarts in all its glory. And those who had only stuck with the films...well they must have been left with the excitement and anticipation as the war that had been building over the last three films was going to a head in the most spectacular way possible. Its also a beautiful and striking image. The burning Hogwarts mirrored in the lake below, only adds to the epic quality of this teaser poster. Guaranteed to grab the attention of its audience, this poster sells everything that is coming...
