10. Chris Pratt As Star-Lord

Marvel Studios has its new start - and it's an unlikely one. Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt didn't exactly excite the comic book movie world when he was cast as little-known Marvel hero Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord in the recent Guardians of the Galaxy - but now that we've seen him in action it's undeniable to say that he was an inspired choice. From the moment he stepped foot into view in the movie - when he was dancing around the planet Morag and singing along to Redbone's "Come and Get Your Love" - he endeared audiences everywhere. His witty, cheeky, charismatic and outright funny personality shone through as the space outlaw and his performance was pivotal to the movie's surprise success. Pratt was previously a chubby funny-man and the transition in to Marvel superhero took some major dedication. It was definitely worthwhile, as his performance stole the movie.
