11 Perfectly Obvious Casting Choices Hollywood Is Ignoring

1. Clint Howard As Mr. MxyzptlkClint Howard Mxyzptlk Mr. Mxyzptlk and Clint Howard have a lot in common; for one, most people don't know their names or why they are so famous. Howard is mostly famous for being Ron Howard's cooky, strange looking brother whose name cannot be recalled. Mr. Mxyzptlk is a 5th Dimension imp who employs science so fantastically advanced and different from our own it can only be understood as magic with a name only highly dedicated fan boys can pronounce. In fact, while it must be magic that either of these characters have remained so popular, both have their place in the world and they fill it well. Why not combine them? Like the earlier parallel of Danny DeVito and Mr. Spacely, the physical likeness cannot be denied, and while it stands to reason the Clint Howard is more than a hair taller than the extra-dimensional imp, a purple derby could make all the difference. Mxyzptlk is a constant thorn in Superman's side and Howard is more than capable of playing the role of obstacle to an otherwise busy Man Of Steel. Perhaps one might suggest that the entire concept is entirely too goofy for the big screen, but folks should keep in mind that Superman can fly, wears a cape, and continues to wear his underpants on the outside of even his coolest costume iterations. Goofy is the name of the game. Did we miss any nailed on casting options that Hollywood is stupidly ignoring? Share your own picks below.
