11 Perfectly Obvious Casting Choices Hollywood Is Ignoring

9. Catherine Zeta Jones As Hippolyta, Wonder Woman's Mother

Hippolyta Zeta Jones There was a time when Catherine Zeta Jones would have made the perfect Wonder Woman, but that was back in the 1990s, and while she is still a stunningly beautiful woman, she has matured to a regality that would serve her better as the Queen of the Amazons, rather than their Warrior Princess. In fact, Hippolyta was at one time premised to be the original Wonder Woman of World War II, having fought along side the Justice Society. In that respect, many fans who for years demanded Zeta Jones in the role of Princess Diana would get at least a portion of their wish. The actress also has the grace and strength to come off as wise, matriarchal, and, naturally, a leader of a beautiful mythical tribe of warrior women, with enough poise to command the audience's attention easily.
