Most of the action in A View to a Kill is actually relatively entertaining, allowing director John Glen to flash his stylish chops while clinging close to the high-camp that defines Moore's Bond flicks.

Particular highlights are Bond pursuing May Day (Grace Jones) up the Eiffel Tower and the daft car chase that ensues, the ludicrous San Francisco fire truck chase - though ripping the roof off an RV to reveal a couple in bed is a bit much - and the finale atop the Golden Gate Bridge.

There are definitely moments that don't work - strapping Bond to a drugged-up horse is utter tosh - but for the most part the set-pieces are well-staged and convincingly steer on the right side of silly (though only barely on some occasions).
