Hugo Drax may ultimately not be much more than a space Nazi, but you do have to give screenwriter Christopher Wood some measure of credit for blessing the supervillain with some of the best one-liners in the entire Bond franchise.

Michael Lonsdale's deliciously deadpan performance allows him to have a ton of fun with lines such as, "See that some harm comes to him", "You defy all my attempts to plan an amusing death for you" and "You arrive with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season."

He's a rare Bond villain who seems somewhat self-aware of his presence in a Bond movie, even telling Bond, "You're distracted me enough" mid-way through explaining his plan to 007.

While Goldinger's (Gert Frobe) "I expect you to die" is probably the best-loved villainous wise-crack, Drax's quips are consistently entertaining and honestly deserved a far more interesting villain to speak them.
