11 Things You Learn Rewatching The Spy Who Loved Me

1. The End Credits Incorrectly Tease For Your Eyes Only

If you tend to turn movies off the moment the end credits roll, you might've missed an amusing little gaffe in The Spy Who Loved Me's closing crawl.

The credits tease that "James Bond will return in For Your Eyes Only", but due to the immense success of Star Wars, that movie was pushed back in order for the space-themed Moonraker to capitalise on the audience's thirst for sci-fi (and the movie was a huge box office hit as a result). For Your Eyes Only eventually ended up following Moonraker in 1981.

Considering how easy it would surely be for the recent home video releases to fix this error - though in fairness, Bond did return in For Your Eyes Only...eventually - it's pretty surprising it remains fully in tact. Perhaps that speaks to the Broccolis' desire not to "George Lucas" the movies.
