11 Things You Learn Rewatching The Spy Who Loved Me

6. Bond Uses A Woman As A Human Shield...Again

The most eyebrow-raising moment in The Spy Who Loved Me occurs when Bond meets Aziz Fekkesh's (Nadim Sawalha) secretary Felicca (Olga Bisera), and the two quickly start getting amorous.

Before things can go any further than kissing, though, henchman Sandor (Milton Reid) readies his aim and prepare to shoot Bond, at which point Felicca screams out. Bond reacts quickly, spinning Felicca into the path of the bullet and causing her death while saving his own bacon.

While some fans maintain that Felicca in fact swung herself in front of the bullet, it's pretty ambiguous, yet considering there's already an existing precedent for Bond using a woman as a human shield - he did almost the exact same thing to Fiona Volpe (Luciana Paluzzi) in Thunderball - it's easy to believe he sacrificed her life for his own.

What a hero.
