5. Doctor Doom

Doctor Doom is one of the most popular villains in Marvel Comics. Heck, he's one of the best villains in the entirety of fiction, period. The character is up there with the Jokers and the Freddy Kruegers of this world as people who epitomise the word "evil" and his future inclusion in Fox's Fantastic Four movies is a very exciting prospect. All that said, the character was utterly botched by Julian McMahon in Fox's previous attempts at a Fantastic Four movie franchise. He was a wimpy, non-frightening and immensely under-powered sap without any of the arrogance and magical prowess that the comic book version of the character so infamously possesses. This time around, when Victor Von Doom will be portrayed by relative unknown Toby Kebbell in 2015's effort, the character will be getting a clean slate and a new chance at big screen stardom. Doombots are said to be appearing in the movie, suggesting Doom's role will be even more prominent than in the last Fantastic Four franchise, and if Fox and Marvel get him right this time he could go on to become a major movie villain in the mould of Heath Ledger's Joker, Tom Hiddlestone's Loki and Ian McKellen's Magneto.
