10. Death Really Doesn't Matter

Looking ahead, Marvel are attempting to sell the idea of Infinity Wars as the culmination of Phase 3, hyping the moment where Thanos clicks his fingers and the world basically ends as the crowning scene. That would presumably mean that multiple characters will die, just as they did in the comics. But how are you supposed to invest in that sort of emotionally jarring moment when so far every character who has "died" in the MCU has suddenly and confusingly got better (aside from lesser villains). As fans, you're being fed a lie that death actually matters, when the reality is that killing off major characters makes no business sense, and simply will not happen (or will not last when and if it does).
