You know what's more dangerous than being a secret agent? Being a double agent. And if that's not sexy enough, a triple agent, as is Atomic Blonde's bonkers twist ending, where it's revealed that Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron) has posed as not only a fake KGB agent but also a fake MI6 agent, having actually been a CIA operative all along.

With the nature of espionage being as leaky and slippery as it is, any word of this getting out would make her a prime target. Plus, considering that Broughton herself comments on how her life of duplicity will get her killed one day, it's not exactly a leap to say that her days are numbered.

If an Atomic Blonde sequel does indeed happen, she'll get a stay of execution for a while, but there's little chance for someone in her unique position to stay alive in the field for much longer.
