12 3D Film Re-Releases That Must Happen

12. WALL·E

A 3D re-release of WALL·E is almost inevitable - Pixar has, so far, re-released four of their nine 2D films in 3D, and they've just announced the upcoming re-releases of The Incredibles and Ratatouille, which will take that total up to six. As one of the best-loved Pixar, even Disney, films ever, and their final film only released in 2D, WALL·E must be coming at some point. And it won't just happen out of inevitability - WALL·E is a beautiful film already, and converting this into 3D will only make it more of a spectacle. There would probably be a decent turn out if it was only re-released in 2D, but seeing those beautiful shots of skyscrapers made of rubbish and the lovely sequences set in space (especially the dance sequence between WALL·E and EVE), let alone the heart-wrenching climax on the Axiom, would be too good to miss in 3D. 2014 is the first year since 2005 that Pixar hasn't released a film, but with Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur already lined up for 2015, followed by the long-awaited Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory in 2016, and then even more release dates booked for the years after, Pixar is looking at a great future even before capitalising on its past successes. So why not treat us to another trip into WALL·E's world? And speaking of Pixar...
