12 Actors Who Must Play Marvel Villains Before 2028
10. Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - Dormammu
Some may balk at the suggestion of the flame-skulled antagonist, considering the comparatively greater success of villains who are more relatable in human terms in Marvel movies to date (and the unhelpful track record of the other fiery-headed Marvel character), but Dormammu qualifies as Doctor Strange's most enduring single foe. His longevity is testament to his appeal, and Marvel would do well to heed that. Quite who plays the hulking figure of Strange's nemesis is perhaps not particularly important, given that his face will be obscured by the character's design, but the actor who is chosen needs to boast the necessary size to pull off the character's presence. Considering the pictures he has posted recently having been brought in as the third actor to play The Mountain in Game Of Thrones, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson leaps to the front of the queue of sizeable actors. The World's Strongest Man contender is incredibly imposing - hence his casting as the formidable Clegane brother, and there wouldn't be too many concerns about selling emotions or dialogue. Who It Definitely Shouldn't Be: Nic Cage, who has previous with flame headed demons.
