Crime: Drug Trafficking Served: 2 years and 4 months Ah, Tim Allen. Star of perennial Christmas classic The Santa Clause and the voice of the upstanding Buzz Lightyear. What a nice, family friendly actor. Right? Well, not quite. In 1978, a decade before he broke out into stardom, Allen was arrested. And not for any petty DUI or anything - this is pretty heavyweight; he was carrying a whopping 650 grams of cocaine through an airport. The police were beginning to step up their efforts in the war on drugs, meaning Allen faced a life sentence, but he managed to get it reduced by turning snitch and giving the police his dealers names. He was ultimately sentenced for three years, and served just less than that. The actor would go on to say the arrest saved his life. This wasnt Allens last run in with the law; in 1997 he was caught drink driving and was given one years probation.
