12. Lashana Lynch

Lashana Lynch was first introduced to mainstream audiences through her role as Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel earlier this year, but 2020 is sure to be a major coming-out party for the talented actress.

First and foremost, she's been cast in a major role in the upcoming Bond film No Time to Die, playing Nomi, a female 00 agent who bristles up against James Bond (Daniel Craig) throughout the movie.

There's been much talk about the possibility of Lynch even taking up the Bond mantle, and while that's rather unlikely, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge co-writing a script which reportedly takes a more feminist bent, it's reasonable to expect a meaty role for the character.

And while that's likely enough to have Lynch's career made - especially as it could be a recurring supporting part for future Bond films - she'll also appear in the TV adaptation of the hit comic book series Y: The Last Man, playing the major character Agent 355.
