12 Actors Who Did Career Worst Work In 2017

9. Michael Fassbender (The Snowman)

Impressively managing to out-awful his much-ridiculed work in 2010's Jonah Hex, Michael Fassbender's turn as Detective Harry Hole in the Jo Nesbø adaptation The Snowman is the cinematic equivalent of xanax: it'll put you to sleep within minutes.

Though Fassbender seemed like a great choice to lead a screen version of Nesbø's bleakly chilly novel, the woefully boring script leaves Fassbender looking defeated and uninterested throughout. Perhaps he was trying to portray Hole as world-weary, but it ultimately came off as him wishing he was literally anywhere else.

The film scored a rancid 8% on Rotten Tomatoes, also making it the actor's worst-reviewed film to date. Honestly, this is cobbled together with all the passion of a straight-to-video thriller an actor appears in when their career is on the skids, not when the lead has just stolen the show in the latest Alien movie (again).
