2. Jared Leto (The Outsider)

Say what you will about Jared Leto's Joker, but the guy committed to his choices and the part was clearly hacked to pieces thanks to studio interference.

Leto has an Oscar to his name and is clearly insanely talented, as evidenced by the lack of dud performances among his filmography.

His first undeniable flatline of a performance came this year in Netflix thriller The Outsider, in which he plays an American prisoner of war who works his way up the Yakuza.

Leto was clearly aiming for Ryan Gosling's brand of quiet, brooding contemplation, but he simply comes across as tired and bored in an equally lethargic, slow-paced dud of a thriller.

At least Tadanobu Asano is really great in it and clearly should've been the protagonist. With Leto set to star in the upcoming Morbius movie and reprise his Joker role in several planned films, he's at least got some potentially compelling palette cleansers on the way.
