8. Jacob Tremblay (The Predator)

Is it a bit mean to pick on a child actor? Perhaps, but remember that young Jacob Tremblay earned himself Oscar buzz for his fantastic performance in Room, and followed it up with an affecting turn in last year's drama Wonder.

Though he's already appeared in a couple of duds - lame-brained thriller Shut In and last summer's art-house disaster The Book of Henry, both co-starring Naomi Watts oddly enough - his performance in each case was absolutely fine.

Sadly that's not true at all with his unfortunate turn in Shane Black's howler of a dud, The Predator. Tremblay's much-ridiculed role sees him playing Rory, an autistic boy with the ability to read the Predator language.

And if that's not dodgy enough, it turns out the Upgrade Predator wants to harvest Rory's DNA, because autism is a superpower or something?

Tremblay is trying, bless him, and Black normally works extremely well with child actors, but everything here is just completely off, and Rory ends up more irritating dead-weight than an intriguing addition to the movie's rag-tag team.

Thankfully he's already shot a role in the upcoming prequel to The Shining, Doctor Sleep, so he should rebound just fine.
