12 Actors Who Did Career Worst Work In 2018
6. Stanley Tucci (Show Dogs)
There's no denying that Stanley Tucci is one of Hollywood's most beloved character actors, such that he even gave entertaining performances in the last two Transformers movies (playing a drunk Merlin in the latter, no less).
He's a great choice for classing-up an otherwise wretched production, yet not even his talents could guarantee dignity and entertainment in the horrible talking dog disaster Show Dogs.
Though these movies are typically easy paycheck roles for actors - as they generally involve spending a mere afternoon in a recording booth - Tucci ended up in the epicentre of the movie's infamous "child grooming" scandal.
You see, Tucci voiced a sassy French Papillon called Philippe, who in one scene instructs Ludacris' Rottweiler protagonist Max to simply "find a happy place" while being fondled by a dog show judge.
Obviously it's not the most appropriate message to place in a film aimed at children, and the distributor ended up editing the scene down to counteract the backlash. Either way, it's certainly the ickiest and most un-entertaining thing the otherwise wonderful Tucci has ever committed to the world of cinema.
On the plus side, there's virtually no chance he'll be involved with something this tone-deaf ever again.
