12 Amazing Feats Of Physical Strength By Comic Book Movie Heroes

1. Superman lifts the Kryptonite Island (Superman Returns)

Superman Kryptonite Island The single most impressive feat, strength-wise, has to be given to Superman in Superman Returns. When Lex Luthor combines a crystal he obtained at the Fortress of Solitude with Kryptonite, he is able to create a new continental landmass in the North Atlantic Ocean (with the intention of building on there and selling for a massive profit). Knowing that the dramatic and abrupt emergence of such a huge piece of land will be detrimental to the rest of the world, Superman heads out to stop Lex's plans. Upon reaching the land, he finds that it is Kryptonite, which weakens him dramatically, and he takes a beating from Lex and his minions as a result. However, after regaining some of his strength from the sun, he heads down in to the ocean, under the landmass, and pushes it upwards. Using every ounce of strength and willpower, he carries it up and out of Earth's atmosphere and sends it off in to space, before collapsing after exerting himself so heavily. A truly amazing feat of strength - especially given his weakness to the material that the massive landmass was made of.
