7. Abomination - The Incredible Hulk

Once more, even in an otherwise bad - and fatally, badly directed - movie, Tim Roth shone in The Incredible Hulk as malevolent Russian-born British Royal Marine Emil Blonsky.

He starts out as General Thunderbolt Ross' monster-hunting lapdog, all swagger and special black ops skills who sees his team easily defeated by the Hulk and is immediately aroused by the idea of being as powerful as his enemy.

He's your typical over-reaching idiot, arrogantly fortified by his self-belief into missing the lunacy of injecting Hulk's blood into him. And then as he spirals out of control and goes full Mr Hyde, it's about the only compelling element of Louis Leterrier's messy stand-alone.
