12 Awful Films Star Trek Actors Want Us To Forget

10. Whoopi Goldberg (Guinan) - Theodore Rex

The El-Aurian bartender in the Ten-Forward lounge has remained a favourite among Trek fans and Goldberg looks set to reprise the role all these years later in the second season of Picard.

She's also one of the few Trek actors to have made waves at the Academy Awards, and picked up an Oscar for her performance in the seminal Ghost in 1990.

Yet, she's had her fair share of misfires since - and surely little else can top Theodore Rex, where she played a police detective in the future partnered with an anthropomorphised dinosaur to prevent a new ice age. As duds go, it's a spectacular clunky one - and it is all the worse for Goldberg as she had to star in it in order to avoid a costly lawsuit, having attempted to back out upon realising just what it would become.

Something of a culture vulture, Mr Steel can historically be found in three places; the local cinema, the local stadium or the local chip shop. He is an avowed fan of franchise films, amateur cricket and power-chords.
