12 Badass Action Movies You Need To See Before You Die
4. The Raid 2 (2014)
If The Raid: Redemption was director Gareth Evans Reservoir Dogs, then The Raid 2 is his Pulp Fiction, bigger, better and more entertaining in every conceivable way. One of the most exciting action directors to have emerged since John Woo returned to China, Evans takes the basic plot of Infernal Affairs (cop goes undercover to bring down a syndicate) and jazzes it up with two-and-a-half-hours of bone-blasting martial arts mayhem, but dont go thinking that this is a one-note, repetitive action movie. The wow factor is off the charts, wrote Rolling Stones Pete Travers, and as another character is sent flying through the air, its hard to disagree. Also, be sure to pay particular attention to how Hammer Girl and Baseball Bat Man earned their nicknames.
